On a day that storm Desmond threatens Scotland and Eastern UK, we have decided to walk to a high peak and lean against the winds. Yes we are in the Malvern Hills and climbing Worcester Beacon.
It’s pretty blustery to say the least..
We were treated to some great views once we got to the top…but we were also nearly knocked off! It was so windy.. Loved watching all the dogs though, as they were having a great time! We chose the path from Lower Wyche to the Beacon and back again. Pretty short and well worth it.
We then had a wander through Great Malvern and it was really pretty. A couple of great bookshops and a massive church (below) We didn’t stay long however as we had free passes for Malvern Spa!
I highly recommend the spa.. Fun outdoor pools with various types of jets and indoor saunas and steam rooms. Marvelous.
The food and our stay at Colwall Park Hotel was just perfect. The staff were attentive, professional and warm, the hotel was cosy and clean, and the food. Well, the food was amazing! Seasons Restaurant is voted the best in Colwall on TripAdvisor. Yes, it is out of only four other restaurants, but check out the cream tea we had below.. Pure, affordable decadence!
